Arsenal extended their remarkable European run with a decisive 3-0 victory over Lille at the Emirates Stadium, securing their 14th consecutive win in the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Mikel Arteta’s men dominated possession early on, though they struggled to break down a resilient French defense in the first half. Bruno Guimaraes came close early with a shot that drifted wide, while Lille briefly thought they had taken a shock lead through Ayase Ueda, only for the goal to be ruled out for an offside build-up by Hakon Haraldsson.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 64th minute. Jurrien Timber latched onto a pass from Noni Madueke and executed a brilliant dinked finish over goalkeeper Berke Ozer to put the hosts ahead.
Just three minutes later, Eberechi Eze doubled the lead with a sharp first-time strike from substitute Bukayo Saka’s cross. Saka then rounded off the scoring in the 71st minute, converting a pass from Kai Havertz to seal the 3-0 win.

The result leaves Lille searching for their first points after two matches, while Arsenal continue their formidable dominance in the competition’s opening round.
